About Chris

Personal Background:
I was born in Boaz, Alabama on March 5, 1970. I grew up in Crossville, Alabama and presently reside in Skirum, Alabama. I teach fifth grade at Crossville Elementary where I have worked for the past ten years.

Ministerial Experience:
I began preaching in 1991 at the Collinsville Church of God of Prophecy. I served as an evangelist for six years, traveling to a number of churches in the state of Alabama. I also traveled to several other states before being appointed as an Alabama state evangelist for the Church of God of Prophecy in 1995. I pastored the Altoona Church of God of Prophecy from 1997 to 1999 and the Boaz Church of God of Prophecy from 1999-2002. I returned to part-time ministry from 2002-2007. I resumed the pastorate here at Boaz on August 1, 2007.

Educational Background:
I graduated high school at Crossville High School in Crossville, Alabama in 1988. I received my A. S. degree in Secondary Education from Snead State in 1992. I graduated with my B. S. degree in Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University in 1995. I obtained my elementary teaching certificate from JSU in 2000. I received my M.S. degree from JSU in elementary education in 2005. I am currently pursuing my Educational Specialist degree in elementary education with a scheduled graduation date of May 2, 2008.
